Tokyo Karaoke Bar initiated our love for the sing along fun. It's hidden under canal below bridge entrance makes it hard to find whereas even more whorthwhile to stay, sometimes the cheaper walk-in may only be possible because the people who booked the karaoke room are still roaming around searching for Tokyo's entrance.

Much later in our career as singers, we discovered a 21+(on Saturdays, else 18+) Karaoke Bar that displays a shot wheel (we won 6 all black licorice shots for 12 Euro, quite a catch, if only they would have tasted a bit better), a surround video survaillance (catching the temporary tap water sip on tape) and a fun immersive karaoke experience: mics will be handed to stars who are among all else in the middle of the packed max 25 sq meter room, TVs are everywhere so that from each angle all can sing along. 2 bachelorrete partys and a bachelor party of people assumingly much older than us made the night unforgettable shouting (and us misponouncing) Dutch classics like Het Duurt Te Lang, Parijs and Three Biggotjes. We crashed the party a bit by intervening with our English songs (great performances of ABBA, Beyonce and Shawn Mendes that night). We all know I heart Anna really is the artist name of I-o-anna.
Almost forgot, before entering this Dutch 21+ experience we even performed an improved version of one of Rihanna's hits right by Oudegracht in the city center. Real stars can never escape their fans smh...
